The 4 of us played "pass the holga" at the beach this weekend. I am dying to see what's on that roll. (I imagine J.K. just took several photos of me taking photos of him.)
The waiting is so hard...

The End.

1. Pola Express, 2. morning sky, 3. curls, toss, 4. Untitled, 5. Untitled, 6. Legs, 7. Untitled, 8. Untitled, 9. .
All good things must end. Though I leave this week incredibly inspired, and my wallet empty from all the money I spent on film today. (Inspiration can be so expensive!) Above you'll find some of my favorites from the Flickr Group. I hope you'll spend some time with them over the weekend. If the weather man is right I'll have a few more on Monday. Until then. xoxo- A.

P.S. On top of obsessing over Polaroids, I now need red tights. Anyone know where to find some?

All Week- Day 3

If you've seen the photograph above, I probably don't need to explain...
But just in case...
*We lived in Florida in the early 80's.
* Hence the seashell/fake flower combo on the table.
*My grandma took lots of Polaroids.
*I love her for that... (and a lots of other things too.)
*They are still as vibrant as they were 25+ years ago.

All Week- Day 2

remembering...
* the way the little girl in the red coat excitedly ran through to get the best view.
* the cars certainly aren't this cute at home.
* how lovely it is when the sun sparkles on the Seine.

All Polaroids, all week long! Are you in?

10.30.2009

Recipe for a perfect day:
* 2 instant cameras- 1 with self timer.
* 1 deserted beach
*1000 rustling leaves
*1000 swirly, blowing leaves
* 1 funny little traveling companion

....So much for staying away from my cameras for the week.

Off to piece together a last minute costume. Hope you have a wonderful, festive weekend. xoxo-A.

Outlet Update

Today I am wondering what I've gotten myself into. I started organizing our spare room, the room I've kept a lot of supplies for years and years. Brand new boxes of paper, test prints, prints I meant to mat for the last art show but ran out of time. It's all there. Or now here, in my office, with no place to go. (The goal is for the spare room to be a room someone could actually sleep in without being smoother by photographs, cameras and film. Imagine that!)
This week I plan to take a week off from being behind the camera and focus on new orders and organizing my space. The good news is, I'll be updating the "Friday Outlet" each day, not just Friday.
My favorite new items I added so far are:
Hahnemuhle Special Offer I love printing on this paper!
The Poppy Prints
Incomplete
Enjoy! xoxo- A.

Sable and Pearl

A couple weeks ago I did a guest post for Bliss. Which led Mrs. French to post her own fabulous black and white inspirations at Sfgirlbybay. Which made me think even more how much I miss seeing my photographs in black and white. And, so I headed back to the place where I immediately thought this classic style would show off the quiet beauty.... yes, Paris again! I challenged myself to work with photos I'd never seen before. Luckily, there are so many I have yet to explore.
And, with that a new collection: Sable and Pearl was born. Many of the photos I chose were taken in the quite moments of early morning, when I was walking alone, and would stop and take a deep breath of thanks.
In addition to the prints on my website, I'm offering a special print set here.
